Infographic for Honeywell

I am currently working on an Infographic for Honeywell, describing visually the HUMS system that is incorporated into the US Army and US Air Force Helicopters.
HUMS is an onboard data acquisition unit collects analog data from sensors embedded throughout an aircraft's drivetrain and converts it to a digital signal. Here is a sneak peek.

Logo concept for Amazon/Editor @Large

This summer I designed some Logo Concepts for my friend Peter Stocker of Story Trading, whose client is Amazon/Editor @Large. The idea is the Editor @Large is a publishing imprint which asks "celebrity" editors (literati, famous authors, notable people, etc.) to curate a collection of their favorite works, sometimes topical, sometimes just based on their own eclectic taste, which will be released by Amazon Publishing.

Here are 4 of my favorite concepts:

Logo design for Amazon Fulfillment Group

I just finished designing a Logo for my friend Peter Stocker of Story Trading, whose client is Amazon. The next phase is the application process — applying the Logo to clothing, signage, vehicles, site equipment and internal papers. Here are a some of my favorite concepts — the last one is the one the client picked.

Info Graphics for Univar

Over the past few weeks, I have been working on a series of six Info Graphics for Univar — a $5.5 billion dollar company. Basically, they are an industrial chemical distributor supplying products and distribution services to all major industrial market segments. For example, they sell Coca Cola their ingredients to make Coke.

I will post the six graphics once they are completed. In the meantime, here are a few examples that are inspiring me:

IPA Festival at the Parkway

This past weekend 2 friends and I went to the Parkway Tavern in Tacoma for the annual IPA Festival. The Parkway is a 70 (+) year old landmark — some say it is "the gem of the Stadium District"! We agree, especially since it is a few blocks from another historic 50's Tacoma landmark, Frisko Freeze! If you have never eaten, or rather, experienced their cheeseburgers (...lovingly placed, or jammed into the 50s style wax paper bag) (nice touch, btw) I highly recommend them! The next time I am in T-town, I am getting a malt as well!

Also, for those curious about which IPAs were served, here is the list of what we chose from: Caldera, Double Mountain Hop Lava, Bear Republic Racer 5, Bear Republic Racer 5 Mach 10, Boulder Mojo, Boulder Hoopla, Oskar Blues Gubna Imperial, Southern Tier 2XIPA, Midnight Sun Sockeye Red, Dogfish Head 120 Minute, 21st Amendment Hop Crisis, Left Coast Trestles, Left Coast Hop Juice, Oakshire Watershed, Boneyard RPM, Laurelwood Workhorse, Fearless Mjolnir Double, Southern Oregon Nice Rack, Northern Lights, Snoqualmie Powerhouse No. 1 Double, Everybody’s Country Boy, Port Mongo, Port Wipeout, 7 Seas Rude Parrot, Laughing Dog, Fremont Interurban, Green Flash West Coast, Lagunitas Hop Stoopid, Lost Coast Indica, Widmer Nelson Imperial, Airways Sky Hag, Mac ‘n’ Jack’s Two Tun, Mad River Double, Fish Cask, Silver City Whoop Pass, Ninkasi Tricerahops, Full Sail Elevation Imperial, Harmon Floridian, Big Time Icculus, Big Time Meerkat, Black Raven Trickster, Naked City Podunk, Avery, Anderson Valley Hop Ottin’, Great Divide Titan, Pike Double, He’Brew Lenny’s, Flyer’s Afterburner, Hopworks Organic, Chuckanut British, Georgetown Lucille, Maritime Pacific Double Dry Hop Imperial, Hale’s Supergoose, Stone Ruination, Mt. Shasta Mountain High, Beer Valley Delta 9, Schooner Exact 3 Grid, Two Beers Evolutionary, Elysian Dry Hop Immortal, Firestone Walker Union Jack, American Breakaway, Skagit Gospel, Port Townsend Grimacing Grimace w/lavender...whew!

A few of our favorites were the Mt. Shasta Mountain High, the Port Wipeout and the Beer Valley Delta 9. But, after reviewing this list (written pre-festivities) I don't recall seeing the Elysian Dry Hop Immortal, huh!? Perhaps we can go directly to the source for that one...

The Sketchbook Project by Art House Co-op

While I was working at SBux, some studio mates and I contributed to the Sketchbook Project created and organized by the Art House Co-op. All sketchbooks were placed in the Brooklyn Art Library. Here is my submission. Please keep in mind that mine was a little rushed — it wasn't my finest sketchbook. Also, I wasn't sure how much I wanted to share with the rest of the world, since I had to surrender it to the Brooklyn Art Library once I was finished. The sketchbooks are archived into their system — you can check them out like other books.
